The Black Hills area Habitat for Humanity here in Rapid City has a Thrivent Build currently located at 407 E. Monroe St. The house has four bedrooms and one bathroom. It is on a lot directly across from one of three Head Start centers here in Rapid City.

As of September 1, 2006, Habitat for Humanity and Thrivent has been host to more than 313 active volunteers from local area churches as well as individuals that have given their time, skill and labor to assist the affiliate with the construction of this home. This figure does not include the countless meal providers and construction material contributors that have played a big part in the construction as well. Habitat for Humanity hopes to have a family matched with the home within the next two months, so check back for a picture of the deserving family who will soon be moving into their home!

The build times and days to participate with other volunteers at a Habitat build site are as follows:

• Thursdays — 9am-3pm
• Fridays — 9am-3pm
• Saturdays — 9am-3pm

• September 23rd — Calvary Lutheran — 9am-3pm
• September 29th — Lord of Life Lutheran — 3pm-8pm
• September 30th — Lord of Life Lutheran — 9am-3pm
